Hm I said i’m not gonna lvl anymore jobs to 75, but for some reason i’m
being REALLY drawn to theif!

I was just looking at all my armors and gear i’ve collected while
playing FFXI over the years.. I have so many thf things.
Hecatomb Harness, Hecatomb Cap, Pixie Earring, hornetneedle, capped
dagger (I had evisceration months before i bothered with savage blade),
etc etc.

The other day what really sealed it was, I was walking around
in bastok, someone randomly walked up with me and traded me a full set
of noct gear + 800k, I was confused at WHY anyone would do something
like that, but he did, oh well. So I also have a full set of noct gear
and many THF gears till 30-75, only missing a few essentials , but I
really wanna play this job now

Also about the dagger.. I looooooove daggers in FFXI, I’m not really a
sword mage myself really, I prefer dagger+enspell, so I think it’s even
more of a reason for me to go THF. Hmm also relic staff has been
confirmed not to have any bonuses at all like it was rumoured to
(people said Magic attack bonus +20, and avatar perp cost -4). So I’m
gonna choose relic dagger instead. Only natural for me

Anyone who
knows me, knows I suck @ Mathematics I thought I needed 6100 x 100
peice to finish my relic upgrade, But today I just noticed i need
6100′ish single
peices. For Hundred peices I need 181
It was confirmed to me that the relic staff has absolutley NO Magic
Attack bonuses, nor does it have and hidden -perp cost for summoning.
So it’s pretty much a lump of shit , and I have changed my relic choice
to dagger. My RDM can use it, and so can my future THF that I am
planning to lvl up next I now have little under 30 peices.

Dagger’s path =

Relic Dagger > Malefic Dagger = Cantarella,Orichalcum
Ingot,Deodorizer + 100 byne bills x4

Malefic Dagger > Dynamis Dagger = Brass Dagger, Poison Dagger,
Misericorde, + M. Silverpiece x14

Dynamis Dagger > Batardeau = Attestation of Celerity + 61x
L.Jadeshell

Batardeau > Mandau = Ornate Fragment + 100 byne bill x100 (yep)

Attestations drop off Hydra NM’s in Dynamis Beaucedine, Fragments drop
off Animated weapons in Xarcabard only once all 15 demon NM’s die,
otherwise the Weapons drop nothing.
So now im approx 30/181 - which goes to about 16.5% done >_> The
good thing is Stages 1 and 2 of my dagger are 100% complete coin wise,
I only have 2 stages left. 63x L.jadeshell, and 100x 100 byne bill.
Bastok spam anyone? ><
