It begins again!

So I’ve been pondering over the last few weeks, blahblahblah, however now I’ve locked myself into it, so it’s completel 100% absolutey official that I’m starting gun.

Pennies, Attestations, Fragments oh my!

The path is :

1. 5x 100byne + (Relic Gun + Rainbow Cloth + Darksteel Ingot + Marksman Oil) = Marksman Gun
2. 15x L.Jadeshell + (Marksman Gun + Pirate’s Gun + Arquebuse + Hellfire) = Dynamis Gun
3. 62x M.Silverpiece + (Dynamis Gun + Attestation of Accuracy) = Ferdinand - the gun you can WS with in Dynamis!
4. 10,000 byne bill + (Ferdinand + Ethereal Fragment + Necropsyche) = Annihilator!

Currently I have : lvl1 complete so ignoring - 8/15 L.jade, 6/62 M.silver (boooo), 60/70x 100byne and I’ll be scouting for a 30x loan when that’s done.  The only thing in my way is currency at this point, every rare/ex is done (thank goodness!).

In regards to the rare/ex, it got really annoying getting them. Including runs where the eye pull got supremely messed up because some of the people who ran up to the eye didn’t understand how that eye pull works, and then 3 more runs where I made rainesong solo the eye (sacrificing his exp!) and us getting really stupid attestations like Great Axe, Katana, etc. We both ended up going 1/5, the first four were junk attestations and the last one dropping what we wanted, on the same run! Was awesome.

Then came Xarcabard, many failed runs due to shitty mistakes, like someone (a zerg drk of all things ) falling asleep just before the weapon, a different run a drk accidentally bringing the wrong SJ thus them dying instantly, etc etc, just a lot of crappy mistakes that unfortunately cost us the weapon warping out.
On top of that, there was a lot of zone ganking which annoyed me to bits. Doing ice dynamis on asura on saturday nights is as enjoyable good as eating crushed glass.  There are so many shells and pickups who ignore schedule and just trade glass to enter which only infuriates me when you’re trying to get relics completed.

At the end, I resorted to doing red-eye dynamis :p Depending on the day, 4-6am EST (which was 8-10pm AU) Beaucedine runs where we farmed attestations. Ended up getting them on the early morning runs.
The Xarcabard however we were sooooooo damn lucky that 24/7 LS were already in the zone way ahead of time (24/7 are also ones who just enter when they like) and no other people were waiting outside - in we went. I decided I’m not taking any chances, got 4 people to change to DRK, 2 with Kraken, 2 with other weapons, and they went to town on the sword, I don’t think the sword was out for more than 15 seconds before it melted, haha.  Congrats to Rainesong on your Holy Fragment woo! All rainesong needs is 13 more M.silverpieces and he’s completely done with his excalibur

When we went to fight gun however, I nearly shat a brick - first off we didn’t have DRKs with 2hours, however we had 1 brd left with SV and also 2 RDM with chainspell, so we decided to get the brd to 2hour SV marches on all the drks, then  2 RDM to CS cure4 a certain DRK with a KC.  I pulled the gun back, but a BLM’s ES+Sleepga2 hit the gun too early, and as it’s a gun it was keeping its distance, UP on the ledge - it wouldn’t come down and 10 seconds already passed and we had the pissed off message, I was so furious at this point and thought it was gonna warp, but thank god everyone decided to run backwards and draw it out. They then smashed it to bits, with the help of my feint too! Ok ok the real reason was it was stupid and decided to cast flare on us :p so it gave us plenty of time to kill it despite the fact we didn’t have all the manpower, but rotating brds = winwinwin.

So yeah! I’m excited, and no my rng isn’t level 1 :p it’ll be 75 long before I get the gun finished . I always loved the job RNG, but never had the extreme motivation before. After getting all my skadi and then getting a bunch of other thf/rng goodies I decided “Why not”.

Wahoo. Since the version up I’ve been collecting some nifty SCH af2! Got hands from a midweek sandy that I did at like 6am EST , and tonight picked up the gown which I wanted most, hooray.

Biggest reason I wanted gown is because of the +7 enhancing skill - stronger phalanx so I can perform better at being salvage sch (unfortunately I’m this rarely), dynamis SCH, etc. Anywhere where I am sticking Phalanx on people. Also because it’ll help bump up damage with enspellga.
Also, it’ll help with sublimation during healing mode. I think this is now the best healing body for a SCH to use, along with AF1 hat for the 4/tic sublimation. I’m kinda peeved at SE for releasing the “refresh item” as more sublimation instead of something totally rad like refresh, but hey better than nothing at all. What this does now is bumps us up to 4/tic sublimation when paired with the hat, which helps us reach our 25% HP marker faster, which is nice. My Goliard Saio moved out from being my healing body armor into my haste armor for faster recast on drains/aspirs etc (when I don’t need the +dark skill from body that is).
Hands are awesome for the +7 enfeebling skill for obvious sleep/grav/bind blahblah, very nice for soloing, also they completely replace AF1 hands which is awesome. AF1 hands’s only bonus over these are the fact you get -20% spell interruption, which I’ve always found nearly useless on SCH.

Also got myself some Brilliantine cloth, so I can upgrade SCH af1. I think I am going to upgrade the body first as it adds +3 int (to a total of 4int on the gown +1) since I use it as my nuke body anyway on anything where I need more ele skill rather than int/mab.  After that I’m probably going to do the hat, so I can have a high int hat , although unfortunately it’s just +1 more int (to a total of 5) instead of the 2 I was hoping for.

Hoorah for SCH updates! One of my fav mage jobs in this game, oh how I wish we could wear morrigan, then I think my SCH would be complete.
